Staffordshire - A stage hypnotist has been packing out theatres and nightclubs in Stoke-upon-Trent, on the promise he can get a girl's tits to expand two full cup sizes.
"The Great Bustardo" as he calls himself, invited girls up onto the stage and got them to shut their eyes, cross their legs and put both their hands up. He preferred to do several girls at a time.
Then he waved a 'device' in front of them which looked more like a penis than a magic wand before telling them three times that they were feeling very sleepy.
He then clicked his fingers and informed the girls that although they could hear and feel everything, they were in fact completely relaxed within an hypnotic state and very keen to obey his every command.
At this stage, according to police, he collected a £50 fee before putting his hands inside their clothing and fondling their breasts.
Local bricklayer Peter Braithwaite (53) was answering 278 charges of indecent assault and extortion without menace at Inner Stafford Magistrates Court.
"It's crooks like Braithwaite that get hypnotism a bad name", accused Vernon Birdbath, General Secretary of the Amalgamated Institute Of Fully Qualified British Hypnotists. "It was his unconventional use of the hands that immediately gave the game away", he said.
"However, the theory that breasts can be developed by the mind is of course completely sound", explained Birdbath.
"We hypnotists have long been able to upgrade breasts: either lifting them higher; improving cleavage; extending nipple growth - or our fully inclusive package deal for bosom enhancement", he claimed.
"But the one thing we'd never do is lay our hands upon exactly the part of a patient's body we are treating", he decreed. "That's not just completely unethical, it has no basis in medical practice".
"A fully-qualified British hypnotist would always fiddle around with a patient's vagina if he was treating her for breast enlargement", he confirmed.
